As a science writer for UF Health, she writes about the research of faculty physicians in the College of Medicine. She joined the UF Health staff in 2014. A Michigan native, she was previously the outdoors and environment reporter for a newspaper in Michigan. Sherburne holds a bachelor’s degree in literature and creative writing from Grand Valley State University in Michigan, a master of fine arts in literary nonfiction from the University of Minnesota and a master’s degree in science writing from MIT.
