Fellow Spotlight: Jeena Kar, DO
Psychiatrist fellow addresses mental health through exercise
As a chief fellow of child and adolescent psychiatry, Kar collaborates with faculty to refer patients with depression and anxiety to physical therapy. By addressing mental health through exercise, she aims to meet patients’ needs holistically.

“As psychiatrists, we can draw on our osteopathic training to understand the mind-body connection more deeply, integrating approaches like arts- based therapies or fitness and nutrition counseling to support comprehensive patient care.”
