In conjunction with Graduate Student Appreciation Week, UF Health hosted the grand opening of a new graduate student lounge April 5. The lounge, located on the ground floor of the Communicore Building, provides students from all six of UF’s health science colleges with a comfortable space to interact and take a break from their busy schedules.
Graduate students helped design the space, which features natural light and includes pingpong tables, three Apple TVs, two refrigerators and two microwaves. The lounge provides a needed escape for students who can spend up to 14 hours a day working in the lab.
