The UF College of Medicine’s most recent graduates took their first steps as physicians in front of about 1,500 family, friends, faculty and staff at the 57th annual UF College of Medicine commencement ceremony held at the Curtis M. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts May 21. This year the college welcomed 28 honorary marshals, several of whom were celebrating 50 or more years since receiving their UF medical degree. Nine alumni physician parents joined their children on stage to help don the academic hood on their family’s newest physician.
